A tintype, also known as a melainotype or ferrotype, is a photograph made by creating a direct positive on a thin sheet of metal coated with a dark lacquer or enamel and used as the support for the photographic emulsion. Tintypes enjoyed their widest use during the 1860s and 1870s. Shot Rite Photography is Chattanooga's leading provider of this novelty fine art form now available in the 21st century.

The Details
- All photographs are by appointment only. For some reasone you need to change your session, it is possible to reschedule for another day with 48 hours notice.
- All appointments require a 50% non-refundable down payment.
- For single pictures, please plan on being available for 1-2 hours.
- For sessions, please plan on being available for 4-6 hours.
- Prices do not include tax.
- Gratuity for the Photographer is not included or expected, but ALWAYS appreciated.
